20ish familiar subjects/20 or so posters/500 strange bedfellows/and a poster rack

In four rows of four, each poster displays 16 diverse faces of a central subject with a single commonality.

What common ground could Hugh Hefner, Jesus Christ and Gloria Steinem possibly have? Huck Finn and Lillian Hellman? Dr. King and Hitler?

The illustrations of Strange Bedfellows depict a bevy of subjects, on a series of twenty posters. I am fascinated with the kinship of each group's diverse crowd. The what, where, and why in history's road to inclusion.

I spent my winter afternoons with Netflix, trolling through six seasons of the Gilmore Girls and drawing, drawing, drawing:

Philanthropists / Bad parents / Feminists /Reformed racists / Refuseniks / Playboy Bunnies / War casualties / Sociopaths / Men with better halves / Secretaries / Jailbirds / Well-endowed men / Products of their time / Altar boys / Nazi sympathizers / Presidential pardonees / Banned book authors / High school drop-outs / Women married to gay men / Names on a wall / Peace Corps volunteers / Incorrigibles / Patients of the good doctor / And Whistleblowers
